Today across social media, the Lens Lady announced collection of the organization's first pair of prescription eyeglasses. "With this pair of donated eyeglasses, the Lens Lady Organization has begun to make a difference" said Abby Waters, the Lens Lady Chairwoman.
"For those of us who remember the first ah-ha moment of vision with glasses or contacts, it's easy to see why this program is so important. The rest of us can know that improved literacy and job opportunity are the natural results of eyeglass donation. We could improve global GDP by more than 1% if we solved this simple problem. That means an extra $60 billion USD in annual economic output from a single $40 billion investment."
Now the Lens Lady organization is seeking social media partners to help bring vision to those who need it.
